Headteacher Welcome
Welcome to The West Grantham Church of England Primary Academy, supported by the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham Multi Academy Trust.
Our primary aim is to deliver an excellent education that empowers children and equips them for an aspirational future of life-long learning. ‘To champion and rejoice in those we serve, creating an environment where excellence is achieved and potential fulfilled’.
Our school family holds a special place in my heart, the children fill me with pride and I am proud to be a part of a hard working team that strives to achieve the best for each and every child. Our school places no limits on what can be achieved, ensuring opportunities are not restricted by a lack of self-belief or by circumstance.
Our curriculum is bespoke to our school community, which provides our children with the opportunities to learn about themselves, their community, their values and the wider world to ensure they can make the most of it. The development of cultural capital is a key ingredient to a child being successful in society, their career and the world of work. Our curriculum driver ensures the accumulation of knowledge, behaviours, and skills that a child can draw upon and which demonstrates their cultural awareness, knowledge and competence.
It is a privilege to be the Headteacher at The West Grantham Church of England Primary Academy, I am proud to serve the local community, we encourage and welcome visitors to see our school for themselves. I look forward to meeting you and beginning our journey together. I can be contacted via the school office.

Today, a group of 12 children from years 4 to 6 went to PGL, Caythorpe. The challenge – to attempt the Giant Swing and Jacob’s ladder! Everyone conquered their own fears and challenged themselves to swing or climb as high as they could.
As always, their behaviour was impeccable, and it was also so lovely to see that they were encouraging each other to be ambitious. An amazing day was had by all!

In Year 4 this afternoon, we have been learning about classifying animals. We went outside on an invertebrate hunt to see how many different invertebrates we could find in their habitats. We found worms, wood lice, spiders, ladybirds, slugs, ants and beetles. We had a great time! - Miss Cook ... See MoreSee Less
