Pastoral Provision

Pastoral Provision

Our Pastoral Team consists of hard working and dedicated individuals who take a leading role in offering an extensive wealth of Pastoral support and care to all members of our school community. As part of the support we offer, we believe that a proactive approach with parents and families will further stable all of young people’s engagement with school life. We look to work with families in need of early help, facilitate parent drop in sessions to provide an opportunity for further open communications, signpost families to outside support if required and be the first point of contact for all children and families at the start of every school day.

Our team are consistently monitoring children and young people who have expressed social, emotional or mental health concerns. As well as children who are experiencing difficulties with managing their behaviour or friendships. Targeted interventions are designed and implemented in line with the needs that have been identified through check-ins with children, conversations with parents and family members or information shared with by other school staff. The purpose of our interventions is to help with removing any barriers so that all children can effectively participate in school life.

Our Pastoral Team consists of the following members:

Mrs Smyth – Headteacher

Miss Greaves – Pastoral Lead

Mr Deighton – Pastoral Lead

Mrs Coverley – Pastoral Lead

Mrs McGibbon – Character of Education Lead

Mrs Mammatt – Attendance and Family Liaison Officer

If you have any concerns about your child, please be confident in coming to speak with a member of our team at school or our drop in sessions.

Our drop in sessions take place weekly on a Monday between 2:30pm and 3pm.

We often like to target specific topics during the drop in sessions and details of this will be sent out on Class Dojo, however, please feel free to come along to talk about anything – even if it is not related to the topic that week!

If you would prefer to have a chat in a less formal setting, two member of our team will be at the HOPE café, 105 Hornsby Road, from 09:00-09:30 every other Wednesday.

We hope to see you there!
