Prevent Duty
The UK Government has placed a legal duty on school to have regard in the need to preventing children and young people from being drawn in to terrorism.
In order to fulfil this legal duty, schools must understand what is expected of them. They must be aware of the practical steps that can be taken and ensure that effective safeguarding systems are in place. We must continue to develop a good understanding of the nature of these rapidly evolving issues.
